Production engineering potential of the enterprise

Open Joint –Stock Company “Stakhanov Wagon Works” is a mechanical engineering enterprise producing carriages with a complete cycle – from elaboration of technical documentation to manufacturing and realization of finished products.

The modern technological level of the products is reached due to continuous improvements based on advanced technologies and large-scale research works carried out by highly qualified technical staff in close cooperation with leading research institutes.

The load-carrying structures of all freight cars are manufactured of low alloyed steels of higher strength and corrosion resistance.

The cars have a unified railway bogie model 18-100 with a wheel set РУ1Ш-950 on roller bearings and are equipped with automatic braking and coupling devices.

The design of freight cars of 1520 mm track permits to form heavy trains with gross weight up to 10 tons and to be operated in any climatic zones at a maximum speed of 120 km/h.

• The plant’s production floor is 130000 sq. m.
• The area of store house facilities is 12000 sq.m.
• The vacant space constitutes 24000 sq.m.

The works has high-performance automated and specialized equipment.

More than 2,5 thousand units of technological equipment and about 15 thousand units of metal-working equipment are installed in the plant workshops.

The lifting capacity of electric-overhead cranes in workshops is up to 125 ton.

For car painting there are mechanized painting lines. The enterprise has its own boiler-house and oxygen plant.

Such a foundation enables the plant to produce up to 10000 cars and more than 20000 tons of metallic structures a year.
